ACBNW Summer Meeting 2013

The next regional NW ACB meeting will take place on Monday June 24th at Salford Royal Hospital, Mayo Building. 

The theme of the meeting is Gastrointestinal Disease and Nutrition and we are lucky to have four speakers from around the North West who are experts in their respective fields.

ACBNW Spring Meeting 2013 - Warrington


The next North West regional meeting will take place on Monday 18th March at the Medical Education Centre, Warrington Hospital. The theme of the meeting is the Central Nervous System and will also include our annual AGM. Lunch and registration are 12-1pm.

2013 Ian Ward Meeting: Updated

UPDATED!!   Please note that the date and venue has been changed. The meeting will no longer take place at Royal Bolton Hospital on 31st Jan.



The ACB North West Regional Scientific Ian Ward Meeting will be held on Friday 1st February at the Royal Preston Hospital Education Centre.

If you wish to attend - please reply by email to Ed Hinchcliffe at South Manchester/Wythenshawe by Friday 11th January. Please indicate whether you will require lunch (registration and lunch will be 12-1 pm).As you may be aware, this meeting showcases the excellent scientific research and development activities being performed throughout the region.  We would encourage all members, across all lab medicine disciplines, to consider submitting presentations for this popular event. If you wish to present, please send a title and short abstract to Ed Hinchcliffe, by Friday 21st December.

A festschrift for John Kane

In recognition of John’s outstanding contribution to education/training, research and development, and clinical biochemistry practice there will be a festschrift to celebrate his career on the afternoon of 23rd January at Salford Royal Hospital.

Please note there is a £10 charge to help cover venue hire and buffet costs.  Any funds that are left will go towards a gift for John.
